Digging Deeper

Digging Deeper is a weekend retreat for high school students and adults who are serious about growing in their Christian walk by exploring various Bible Study methods.

The idea for this seminar weekend began with a conversation among a few high school students who, in pursuit of growth in the areas of knowledge and faith, desired to dig deeper into Scripture.

Partnering with Nicolet Bible Institute for this program was the best solution. Nicolet Bible Institute is a college program that “exists to foster growth in the spiritual lives of students as they learn to love and serve others.” Why not extend this learning to high school? The result of this desire for depth is NBI’s Digging Deeper Retreat for high school students and adults. Our focus this year is Character Study. Since God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, it is logical to conclude that the ways in which He interacted with people in the past as recorded in the Bible are still totally relevant and beneficial for us today.

Throughout the weekend, the students will learn how to do a complete character study, including historical/cultural context, and will discover how to apply the many timeless truths and principles to their own lives. Come join us on this adventure as you learn how to dig out these truths for yourself. The things learned in this seminar will be used over and over again for the rest of your life as you continue to grow in the Lord. Students will arrive Friday evening at Silver Birch Ranch, home to Nicolet Bible Institute’s campus, for dinner and their first evening session. Then on Saturday and Sunday the weekend continues with three more sessions along with a time of worship and debriefing. Students will also have opportunities to take time alone with God, they can choose to have one-on-one time with NBI professors, as well as enjoy winter activities in the great northwoods.
