Hunter's Retreat
Are you looking for a place to gun deer hunt this fall? Are you searching for a place where you feel safe taking your children on their first hunt, and where you know the conversations, jokes, and ethics will be clean? Then you have found the right place at Silver Birch Ranch for your next hunt.
This fall marks the 14th annual Gun Hunting Retreat where men, women, and young adults get together not only to hunt, but for a time of fellowship at Silver Birch Ranch.
What better place to hunt than the Nicolet National Forest! Over one million acres of public hunting land are right out SBR's back door. Start a new hunting tradition with your family or buddies by coming to a place where you will be in the company of other Christian hunters, be served great food, and hear good clean stories.

Herd Control Unit
Unit 43 will be a herd control unit in 2007. When you purchase a gun tag, you will automatically be issued one free "doe only" herd control tag that can be used in any herd control unit in Wisconsin. Additional herd control tags can be purchased for $2.00 per tag.
Regular Unit
Unit 44 will be a regular unit in 2007. With your gun tag you can shoot 1 buck but in order to shoot an additional doe you need to purchase a "bonus" (doe only) tag for unit 44. This can be done starting August 25th. The cost is $12 (resident) and $20 (non-resident). You can purchase 1 tag per person per day. These tags can be purchased at your local license dealer or online.
Call your local DNR office for more specific and complete information.
